Sleeping up to 16 people, we have just the right space for everyone - double bedrooms, a magnificent 4 poster bedroom with jacuzzi bath ensuite, twin bedrooms and 1 double bedroom that is located on the other side of the dwelling. 

 

Enjoy our stunning formal dining room, seperate living room, conservatory with bar area and lounge, expansive gardens which house a BBQ house and hot but - it's all here waiting for you.

Scardroy Alford is a 7 bedroom detached bungalow on a large peaceful 5-acre site, situated in the charming village of Alford, Aberdeenshire.

 

The excellent space makes an ideal setting for the whole family or for a group of friends to escape into a peaceful paradise - it's also perfect for celebrations /events, which we can arrange with you, and suitable for all ages.

 

Or... if you and your colleagues have a temporary work assignment nearby, it's also the perfect location to relax, socialize and get a good night's sleep after a busy day.

 

The living spaces within the bungalow are very sociable and there is also an outside barbecue house and hot tub (available at an extra cost) and gazebo for outside dining.

 

Nestled in rural Aberdeenshire, the village of Alford, where Aberdeen Angus beef originates from, is walking distance from the property and has plenty of attractions for all the family, with two museums, a golf course and a country park with many lovely walks to explore.

 

Alford sits by the River Don and the hills of Bennachie and Coreen and has a variety of shops, restaurants and amenities.

Steeped in history, the town is home to the Battle of Alford battleground and Alford Heritage Centre as well as the Grampian Transport Museum.

For those who love the outdoors, the nearby Haughton and Murray country park offer an abundance of beautiful walks, and the 18-hole Alford Golf Course is ideal for both experienced and novice players.

 

In the surrounding area, there are a number of castles including the Scottish Baronial Castle Fraser and its historic walled gardens.

PLACES TO VISIT IN ALFORD

 

A swiftly growing rural town nestled in the splendour of the Aberdeenshire countryside, Alford is home to several visitor attractions including a museum, ski centre, golf course and woodland country park.

Close to some of Scotland’s largest ski centres, the town is also great for perfecting your skill all-year round on the dry ski slope at the Alford Ski Centre.

Located in the centre of the town is the renowned Grampian Transport Museum, showing vehicles from the early 1800s right through to today's electric offerings. 

Within the village you can also visit Alford Heritage Museum and The Old Royal Station or have a leisurely stroll through Houghton Country Park and Murray Park.

Nearby is Craigievar Castle, an idyllic castle with its pink walls and array of turrets and towers, is said to be the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle!
